The French are outraged over a multiple paedophile who reoffended shortly after being released from prison with the virility-enhancing drug Viagra in his pocket, the Paris-based Journal du Dimanche reported on Sunday.
According to the paper, the 61-year-old man said he was given the drug by a prison doctor.
His statement has so far not been confirmed by officials.
“They give him the weapons to start again,” lawyer Emmanuel Rigilaire told the paper.
Rigilaire represents the family of 5-year-old Enis, who was abducted and abused by the paedophile last week.

LOS ANGELES (AP) - A top state narcotics agent has pleaded not guilty to selling prescription drugs to an undercover Long Beach detective who answered his advertisement on the Web site Craigslist.org.
Henry Kim, a supervisor, leads major anti-drug operations in Southern California for the state Bureau of Narcotics Enforcement.
He was arrested Saturday in Long Beach, and was charged with four misdemeanor counts related to the sale of a controlled substance.

And I can’t get over the $6 Persian lemonade: Made with Persian lemons, mint and rosewater, it’s like sipping day-spa bathwater.
Thirst quenchers: Seasonal cocktails, wine by the glass or bottle, and four pages of beers, ales and lagers. Plus Izze sparkling juices, San Pellegrino sodas and coffee from local roasters Metropolis Coffee Company.

VIRGIN tycoon Sir Richard Branson has described how he became a member of the mile-high club.
Sir Richard, whose airline was the first to introduce double beds on its planes, said he remembered having to remove handprints from the toilet mirror following the tryst.
He told GQ magazine: “I was sitting in economy on a Freddie Laker flight, next to this very attractive lady, as we headed to LA.

Room 201 of Yonghe’s discreet and romantic Imore Motel might seem like an unlikely site for a news conference, but on Saturday the room was crammed with reporters and cameramen eager to learn more about the controversial two-day-and-one-night sex therapy workshop held at the love motel.
Although the course generated enormous media attention and participating couples said they had gained from it, health specialists criticized the event as overly commercialized and sensationalistic.
The workshop was co-sponsored by the drug company Eli Lilly. A stack of Eli Lilly’s erectile dysfunction drug Cialis appeared amid a display of items such as scented candles and dildos.
The participating couples and participants at the press conference all wore polo shirts emblazoned with the Cialis logo.
“After the kids came along, our sex life completely stalled,” said a 39-year-old participant who wished only to be identified as Mrs Lee (李).
“It doesn’t help that I work until 2am or 3am most days,” the 34-year-old Mr Lee said.
Their children, aged three and five, still sleep in the marital bed, the couple told the Taipei Times, making romance difficult.
“We are down to making love only once every two or three months,” Mr Lee said. “When we do have time away from the kids, we’re too tired or busy with other things to think about sex.”

In addition to the treats, news conferences sponsored by interested parties also provide reporters with accessible sources such as doctors, patients and photo opportunities.
“The danger is that reporters rely too much on the sources provided by pharmaceutical companies and don’t independently confirm what is being said,” Lyu said. “This is especially true if the source is a doctor at a famous hospital.”
Lyu urged the media to work toward finding a better balance.

Medications are not quite a magic pill to improve the sex lives of men with erectile problems, a Deakin University study has found.
Hayley Matic conducted the study for her Doctor of Psychology (Health) with Deakin’s School of Psychology under the supervision of Professor Marita McCabe. She found that while oral medications, known as PDE5 inhibitors, may restore a man’s ’sexual function’ they don’t necessarily restore a man’s ’sexual health’.
“As well as the obvious physiological aspects, men with erectile dysfunction (ED) suffer a range of problems such as significantly poorer self esteem, sense of masculinity, sexual satisfaction and relationship satisfaction,” Dr Matic said.
“This study found that overall well being was not improved in the men who had used medical interventions for their ED.”
Dr Matic’s study explored the psychological and relationship impact of ED on the lives of Australian men and their partners. It also looked at men’s help-seeking behaviour and experiences with oral medication as treatments for their ED. It involved 410 men with ED and 242 men without ED.

“ED affects up to 50 per cent of men at some point in their lives and is generally treated with the use of oral medications,” Dr Matic said.
“The focus on the medical and biological elements of ED has led to a relative dismissal of the role of psychological and relationship aspects of men’s sexual experiences. As a result many men stop using the medications and continue to suffer ED as well as the associated problems with their masculinity, self-esteem and quality of life.
“Hopefully the results of this study will open up current mainstream treatments for this sexual dysfunction to include greater awareness of the psychological and relationship factors inherent in a man’s sexual health.”
Dr Matic suggests that improvements could come from:
* Ensuring GPs and specialists who assess and treat sexual dysfunction are educated in the potential broad ranging impact of ED on a man’s life
* Ensuring that those prescribing ED medications are able to talk to their patients about their expectations for the use of the drugs
* Increased development of and referral to non-medical treatments for ED, either in conjunction with medication treatment or as a stand-alone
* Increased inclusion of a man’s partner in the assessment and treatment for ED in both medical and other settings.
“As medications are only potentially able to address the biological/physiological aspects of sexual arousal, there is a clear need to consider broader application of a biopsychosocial model of health to our understanding and treatment of ED,” Dr Matic said.
